The Alphabet Soup Collective Comes to Atlanta!

Press Announcement

The Official Texprocess Americas and Techtextil North America Opening Night Reception — brought to you by SPESA and Messe Frankfurt North America — will host the Alphabet Soup Collective on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at the Der Biergarten in downtown Atlanta. Members of Collective associations will receive discounts on reception registration.

We’re getting the band  — ahem, industry  — back together for another night of toasting glasses and shaking hands in a new edition of what some industry experts coined as the best networking event they’ve ever attended. Except this time we’re trading in our tumblers of whiskey for steins of beer.

Keeping with tradition, the Texprocess Americas and Techtextil North America Opening Night Reception, which is co-hosted by SPESA and Messe Frankfurt North America, will serve as the official “welcome” launch event for participants of both shows. What makes this reception different from years prior is that we’re bringing the Alphabet Soup Collective, and its vast membership network, into the fold.

The event will be hosted just steps away from the Georgia World Congress Center at the Der Biergarten in downtown Atlanta. In addition to delicious food and drink, guests will have the opportunity to live out their rockstar dreams with some live band karaoke. (We’re looking at you, Devin Steele and Tanya Wade!).

Registration for the Opening Night Reception is currently open. The early bird registration rate is $75 per person through March 2, 2025 (at which point ticket prices will be $100 per person). Members of Collective associations can receive discounted registration of $50 per person. This price will remain the same through the registration process.

If you are a member of a Collective association (see below for the full list), we suggest you reach out to your association contacts for details on discounted registration. Collective members also receive free exhibit hall passes to Texprocess Americas and Techtextil North America!

About the Alphabet Soup Collective

The Alphabet Soup Collective — composed of eleven major industry associations representing the sewn products, textiles, apparel, and nonwoven industries  — launched in 2024 as a means to enhance collaboration and bridge gaps across the supply chain. The Collective held its first meeting last August during the 2024 edition of Techtextil North America in Raleigh, NC. That meeting was followed by the Inaugural Alphabet Soup Collective Shindig.

Over the past several months, Collective association representatives have continued dialogue on collaborative efforts to streamline and improve networking and professional development opportunities for members. One tangible example of these efforts is the recently announced AATCC + SEAMS joint event — the 2025 Fabricating the Future Conference taking place October 5-7, 2025 at the Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa in Savannah, GA.

With the industry gathering in Atlanta for the co-located Texprocess Americas and Techtextil North America shows (May 6-8, 2025), the Collective will use the opportunity to meet again, in-person, and discuss ways to strengthen the industry in the face of global challenges.

The Alphabet Soup Collective includes the following organizations:

  • AATCC | American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists

  • AAPN | Americas Apparel Producers’ Network

  • ATA | Advanced Textiles Association

  • ATMA | American Textile Machinery Association

  • INDA | Association of the Nonwovens Fabrics Industry

  • NALA | North American Linen Association

  • NWI | The Nonwovens Institute

  • SEAMS | The Association & Voice of the U.S. Sewn Products Industry

  • SPESA | Sewn Products Equipment & Suppliers of the Americas

  • STA | Southern Textile Association

  • SYFA | The Synthetic Yarn and Fabric Association
