Having a complete understanding of its clients need, Vibemac has taken COVID-19 challenge in a constructive way and diversified into basic as well as silver lines of sewing machines segment, yet giving a high class technology without compromising on parameters such as quality and productivity. With this new launch, the Italian sewing tech giant aims at catering to the manufacturing industry’s requirements and supporting the factories in their endeavours of staying relevant in the market.
Vibemac is one such company which has developed specialised sewing automats for 5 pocket denim jeans production and has imparted the understanding of the same to the industry impressively in the last 40 years of its business. However, it is also a fact that, to do turnkey projects, it had to depend on other vendors which may or may not be as per the standards set by Vibemac.
As a result, Vibemac had been facing a major bottleneck – the plight of the manufacturer was such that they had to dedicate technician after technician for the maintenance of the basic machines, while the automatic units in the same premises performed at maximum efficiency. At the end of the day, the chain is just as strong as the weakest link. This was one of the strong reasons that Vibemac set its sails towards the east (China) back in 2018 and entered into an agreement with Jack Sewing Machines which is a leading sewing technology and equipment manufacturer. The union of the two companies was celebrated and much appreciated throughout the industrial circles. This coming together of two giants allowed synergies like never before and both teams of R&D began an intensive collaboration together. And, needless to say, new basic line of sewing machines launched by Vibemac is the first notable result of this collaboration.
Having a complete understanding of its clients’ needs, Vibemac has taken COVID-19 challenge in a constructive way and diversified into basic sewing machines segment, yet giving a high class technology without compromising on parameters such as quality and productivity. With this new launch, the Italian sewing tech giant aims at catering to the manufacturing industry’s requirements and supporting the factories in their endeavours of staying relevant in the market.
Here is what Vibemac’s ‘Basic Line’ of sewing machine is all about…
It’s a well-known fact that Vibemac has always dealt in high-end sewing automats for jeans and trousers loaded with automatic and semi-automatic attachments to reduce human involvement. The recently launched basic line has been designed and developed keeping in mind the exigencies of the market, the challenges faced by manufacturers on existing competitor models, and the gaps which had been unfulfilled in the market up-to-date. The basic line is currently made up of six different units, while a few more are still in development.
Most of these machines are configured with large capacity hooks which provide factories with a much higher productivity rate since the downtime for replacing bobbins is considerably reduced. Furthermore, features like a differential feed dog on the overlock unit which comes with a vacuum device installed, availability of options like the bird’s nest device, a special ‘undo’ feature to reverse the last stitch add more technical value to the units.
According to Vibemac, each of these units represents hundreds of R&D hours spent in perfecting the machine from the ground-up approach. The company went to the customers and buyers in search of understanding how a new line of basic machines can meet the requirement of the challenges today.
“This process is not new to Vibemac. In fact, this has always been the distinguishing feature of Vibemac machines. We have excelled where others have had troubles only because at the core of Vibemac R&D are the evolving trends and requirements of the fashion world, where innovations means newer fabrics and features are always being added to the garment by the customers who need innovative cost-effective solutions to manufacture those features into their production and handle new challenging fabrics like the super-stretch category,” told Ali Zain Raza, Regional Sales Manager, Middle East Orient (MEO), Vibemac to Apparel Resources.
Why the need was felt for basic machines…?
The aim of Vibemac was and still is precisely to empower the manufacturers in the 5 pocket denim bottom sector with added value and better ROI. The robust automation based on the actual technological platforms – original, diverse and user-friendly – has helped the company establish itself worldwide in the last 40 years.
However, offering specialised machines meant that the company would empower the customers by providing quality solutions for certain section of their sewing lines, not all of the set-ups. This meant that the apparel factories had to pair state-of-the-art Vibemac machines with basic machines from other sewing machine manufacturers. Just as two logics in one system make operations difficult, this presented challenges as well.
The collaboration between R&D teams of Jack and Vibemac has yielded desired results. “The dream of offering the customer a one-stop solution has finally been fulfilled and this solution includes high levels of efficiency, negligible downtime, low-cost of running and exceptional levels of quality,” said Ali.
Repeating the same process which has always been Vibemac’s core strength, the company is ecstatic to now offer their customers a complete line for the manufacturing of 5 pocket denim bottoms. “All that which was missing, is now complete…,” mentioned Elena Guerreschi, CEO, Vibemac delightfully.
Here is what Vibemac’s ‘Silver Line’ of sewing machine is all about…
The basic machines are not the only developments Vibemac has been working with. Designing and manufacturing the machines in Italy is a costly process as maintaining top-notch quality has a price. Though the company has catered to the tiers of the market which have certain affordability, it has always wanted to benefit all manufacturers at every level. The new cooperation with Jack Sewing Machines and a new facility of production in China has allowed Vibemac to take the opportunity and reach out to a much larger audience through the introduction of the Silver Line machines which is a line of Vibemac automation machines which will be manufactured in Vibemac facility in Taizhou, China, upholding Vibemac standards, and will cater to a much larger audience due to a considerable price advantage. Currently, only 4 models are being produced in the Silver Line category.
With this Silver Line machines, the Italian company will now have three Sewing Machine lines in its portfolio which are:
Gold Line – automation machines made exclusively in Italy
Silver Line – automation machines made in China
Basic Line – basic machines made in China
As the key strategy of Vibemac includes taking challenges of the future head-on, it was making use of advanced reporting and communication tools to manage a global sales and service network way before Covid-19 crisis rocked the world. Staying in touch with customers, buyers and fashion influencers across the world has allowed the company to stay ahead of the curve and steer through these troubling times.
