Zünd To Demonstrate Digital Cutting Automation at FESPA 2023 in Munich
By FESPA
Zünd will be exhibiting at FESPA Global Print Expo in Munich from May 23 to 26. At Europe’s leading trade show for large-format digital printing, visitors will discover how innovative solutions can further automate digital cutting processes.
At Booth D30 in Hall A2, Zünd will be demonstrating how powerful digital cutting systems—combined with intelligent software tools and various solutions for automated material handling—can make digital cutting even more efficient and cost-effective. With these offerings, large-format printers hold the key to autonomous, unsupervised, and highly efficient production regardless of company size. They have the ability to extend operating times while simultaneously lowering operating costs. At Fespa, Zünd will present automation solutions to cover every need and virtually every area of application. Take PrimeCenter software, for example. It prepares printing and cutting data in an automated and standardized process. Acting as a virtual control center, PrimeCenter facilitates a productive and efficient prepress workflow. In a few clicks, the user can create nested print & cut layouts that are ready to go. With Zünd Connect, Zünd presents a solution for easy production monitoring and analysis. Zünd Connect monitoring and analyzing software identifies optimization potential in the production workflow, determines the KPIs of the Zünd cutters connected to it, and uses these to calculate their efficiency. The software provides the user with key indicators that can be used to further optimize the production workflow. Additionally at this trade show in Munich, Zünd will be exhibiting various solutions for partial and fully automated material handling. What these solutions have in common is their ability to work without human intervention and ensure consistent, uninterrupted production. Whether their operations are large or small, graphics providers can benefit from the enormous savings potential these solutions offer. In live demonstrations, visitors to the booth will experience how they can control robots and pick & sort finished parts automatically. Zünd will be demonstrating this process with the Robot PortaTable 130. The Robot PortaTable consists of a mobile off-load table equipped with a robotic arm, which can be quickly and easily set up and moved from one Zünd cutter to another. The Visualizing Option, on the other hand, facilitates manual parts removal as well as logistics. Itprovides the operator with visual support for removing cut parts. Optical parts marking or printed QR codes simplify order tracking for the operator, ensuring smooth, efficient logistics. In the spotlight at Fespa will be Zünd's celebration of the launch of a brand-new, fully integrated system solution for autonomous, pallet-to-pallet production, but for now, Zünd is keeping all details under wraps. All that is known so far is that the new system solution delivers very impressive KPIs and will be pushing the envelope in terms of industrial and highly automated production of packaging and displays. Because of inherent limitations in a trade show environment, the new production line will not be available to view live on site. For presentations and detailed information, Fespa visitors are welcome to speak with Zünd representatives at the booth anytime.
